This document supports State Education Agencies (SEAs) seeking to support their Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) in the Civil Rights Data Collection process. It explains the importance of communication between SEAs and LEAs and the respective roles in the data collection process. It also includes diagrams to guide LEAs through the data reporting process, whether they receive data from the SEAs directly or not. By using these resources, SEAs can enhance the timeliness and accuracy of data submitted, ease data submission burdens, and improve overall productivity and positive feedback from their LEAs.
