OCR’s proposed changes for the 2021–22 and 2023–24 CRDC surveys completed two public notice and comment periods, pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. Specifically, an initial 60-day public comment period closed on February 11, 2022, followed by a 30-day period, which closed on October 31, 2022. OCR reviewed and prepared responses to the public comments received.
The final proposal will be universal collections in which all public-school districts and their schools will be required to participate. As soon as the proposed 2021–22 and 2023–24 CRDCs are approved, OCR will notify you. In the interim, OCR urges you and your schools to prepare for the 2021–22 CRDC by reviewing the proposed data elements in the OMB Supporting Statement A document available at https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAViewDocument?ref_nbr=202111-1870-001.
